Dean and Curate abseil down Derby Cathedral tower

The Dean of Derby, Dr John Davies and recently appointed assistant curate, the Rev Andy Trenier, abseiled down Derby Cathedral’s Tower last Saturday (15 September) to raise funds for the Cathedral and the Padley Centre (www.padleygroup.com).

The Dean and his Curate undertook their first-ever abseil down the tower, the second highest church tower in the country.

The Padley Group is a Derby-based charity founded in 1985. They deliver services to people with complex needs and work with some of the most socially excluded people in the local community including the homeless, people with mental health problems, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol addiction and the long-term unemployed.
