York Minster has launched its Best of British programme of events which celebrate art, music, craftsmanship and heritage. The acting Dean, Canon Glyn Webster, said: “York is one of the country’s top tourist destinations thanks to its amazing architecture, rich history and vibrant city centre, and York Minster has stood at the heart of this beautiful city for centuries – from the top of the Central Tower, visitors can admire the cityscape from the highest point in York with our themed Tower Tours, and this summer, they can meet the stonemasons who are working to maintain this architectural gem for future generations.”
