Hello
I’m an Ordinand studing in London, is it true we get Subscription free? How does one go about sorting this?
Yes, but only to the online edition. Please send your course details and email address to deli.robinson@churchnewspaper.com who will be happy to set that up for you
Hi. I’m trying to find an article that ran in the CofE newspaper in August 1956, concerning the fundraising activities of (Methodist) Rev. James Butterworth on his American Tours during the 1950s. Are the original articles from this long ago likely to be available in your archives? Many thanks. James.
Oh Thank you, God! I lived in London in 1960. One of only 58 US Army Personnel serving in all of England, at that time. I was treated so rudely by the general population, jeered at, called a, “Joe,” and ridiculed on the streets, when wearing my WWII “ODs” with an Eisenhower Jacket. I said then, “How the did England ever field an Army? Were ALL the Real Men of England, KILLED in WWII?” All I saw was a bunch of, “wimpy males,” hanging together like, “boyfriends,” in pubs. I believed that, until 23 June 2016! I cried with JOY, when the Vote was announced on Texas TV. I now believe there are still 10s of thousands of Real Englishmen, with cajunas. I stood in my living room and sang the, “Doxology,” upon hearing how God has Blessed the people of England, with FREEDOM from Belgium and all other nations! Praise God from whom all Blessings Flow ! I subscibe to the CEN by post. I’m trying to find out a bit more about Alan Edwards – article on page 12 of current issue. Can you help, please?
Alan Edwards is an Anglican layman who runs a bookshop in the West Country
I would like to purchase a Day Membership of CEN but am having some difficulty.
When I click of the Buy Now option I am taken to the PayPal page where I can log in. I do not know what I should do after that.
Can you help me please?
That is a very good tip especially to those
fresh to the blogosphere. Brief but very accurate information… Many thanks for sharing this one.
A must read article!
It can be difficult to talk about this topic. I think you
did an outstanding job though! Thanks for this!
Does Andrew Carey have an email address?
We can’t give out email addresses, but if you send it to cen@churchnewspaper.com we will forward your message
Dear CEN,
I downloaded the app on the iPad, which also linked to my iPhone. Sometimes, it would read on the iPad, sometimes on the iPhone, sometimes on neither.
Apple gave me a refund and asked me to contact you.
Can you help?
Thanks, and we are sorry for the problems. We are looking into this right now
Clicked through and paid the 2 pounds. But it’s not clear how I can now see the paper.
Are you still having problems? It look OK from our end, but get in touch if you are still having problems
Andrew Carey praises the principle of ‘religious freedom’ citing Jacob Rees-Mogg’s pro-life anti-abortion stance – even in the case of pregnancy resulting from rape – as an example of this in action in the public sphere. So what is Andrew’s reaction to Jacob’s recent admission that his investment firm profits from pills used in dangerous illegal abortions? Proclaiming oneself to be a ‘Christian’ seems to be good enough, especially when the Vatican finds no fault.
I’m a subscriber to CeN by post. Can I get online version free?
Yes you can.
So if I am 82 and a army veteran do I still have to pay ?
Hi Peter,
You would be eligible for the retired rate
Thanks
